Installation in a few steps

IMPORTANT SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface preparation is very important for stone carpet floor applications. In these applications, the most meticulous workmanship should be done in the preparation of the surface and the largest time frame should be devoted to this phase. It will not be possible for the material to be applied on a sloppy surface preparation to show the desired performance.

Clean the surface using a high pressure washer if possible.

Priming is required when application is on non-porous substrates, such as ceramic/glazed tiles. In this case, Primer® D-1K is used.

In addition, while applying primer on the floor surfaces, sandblasting with 0.4/0.8mm quartz granules at the same time is required, the floor is made rough before the next step.
This process helps the applicators to prevent the granules from slipping during the application.

Micronized colored quartz and marble granules produced by ANILO offer various coating solutions on indoor and outdoor floors and walls.

FLOOR APPLICATION LAYER THICKNESS RECOMMENDED BY ANILO

Each application requires a specific installation method and different amounts of material, depending on the desired thickness and the floor to be performed, i.e. suitable for pedestrians or vehicles. The layer thicknesses we recommend are as follows.

 • Pedestrian traffic areas 6-8mm
 • Vehicle traffic areas 12-15mm

STONE CARPET PREPARATION AND MIXING

1 STONE CARPET PREPARATION AND MIXING

Tap the colored quartz or marble granules into a large plastic bucket or industrial mixer.
Weigh the granule binder you will use with a precision scale at the rate recommended by Anilo.

2 STONE CARPET PREPARATION AND MIXING

Optimum mixing quality:

STONE CARPET (granules + binder) should be mixed with a hand mixer or an industrial mixer until the granules are completely coated with binder, for a minimum of 2 minutes until a homogeneous appearance is obtained.

APPLICATION OF STONE CARPET TO THE FLOOR

3 PREPARATION SURFACE BEFORE PRIMER APPLICATION

You can now pour the granules on the floor spread the trowel until it reaches the desired layer thickness.

4 PREPARATION SURFACE BEFORE PRIMER APPLICATION

After compacting the granules lightly with a trowel and making the floor completely flat, quickly check the area for roughness and remove any roughness.

5 STONE CARPET PREPARATION AND MIXING

Finally, give the floor its final plane by compacting the granules at the same time with the finishing trowel.

FOR MORE COMFORTABLE APPLICATION

For a more comfortable application, spray the granules and your trowel with a mixture of 20% glass cleaning water and 80% tap water.

Clean your trowel frequently with Cellulosic thinner during the application phase.

READY FOR USE

1 Ready for Use

The application surface must be dry.
Ensure removal of non-bearing layers on the surface, removal of loose particles and plaster residues on the wall.

PREPARATION BEFORE WALL APPLICATION

2
PREPARATION BEFORE WALL APPLICATION

Before vertical application, fill all cracks on the stairs or walls with our high viscosity WallBINDER® 1K product with the help of a trowel.
After the vertical surface repair and dust removal, the stickiness of the stone carpet is maximized.

PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

3
PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

Add our high viscosity full aliphatic polyurethane Wall binder product on the WallBINDER® 1K Marble or colored quartz granules and mix with a hand mixer (2 minutes) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

4
PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

Apply WallBINDER® 1K 1 m2 of high viscosity full aliphatic polyurethane binder to the wall in a thin layer (approximately 130 gr) with the help of a trowel.

5
PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

Apply the granules mixed with our high viscosity product WallBINDER® 1K, on the vertical surface, with the help of a trowel. Application layer thickness should be 6-8mm.
Apply from the ground up.
Press the marble and quartz granules evenly.
Compress the coated surface by applying uniform pressure to the trowel.

6
PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

During the Wall stone carpet application;

For a more comfortable application, spray the granules and your trowel with a mixture of 20% glass cleaning water and 80% tap water.
Clean your trowel frequently with Cellulosic thinner during the application phase.

TWO DIFFERENT PORE FILLER APPLICATION TECHNIQUES

PORE FILLER FOR ALL WET FLOORS

PORE FILLER FOR ALL WET FLOORS
 • Continuous water contact resistance
 • Full Aliphatic
 • Polyurethane Based
1 PORE FILLER FOR ALL WET FLOORS

IF YOUR CUSTOMER WANTS GRANULE PORES TO KEEP OPEN

If 100% waterproofing is required on the floor before the stone carpet application, PoreFILER® P-1K topcoat can be applied specifically for all floors and wall surfaces.

2
PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

IF YOUR CUSTOMER WANTS GRANULES PORES TO BE CLOSED

PoreFILLER® P-1K application after the stone carpet surface It is a transparent pore filler that closes all the pores of the granules and one application is sufficient. In this application it also provides 100% waterproofing.

 • Do the application with a hard rubber glass wiper.
 • Continuously pull the glass wiper straight and hard.
 • Do not leave extra layer on surface application.
 • Every time you remove the extra layer on the surface with a glass Wiper, remove the excess layer from your glass wiper.
 • During the application phase, make sure that there is a homogeneous layer on the surface, an unequal extra layer leaves a trace.
 • Do not leave the packaging lid open during the application phase and the open product can be saved for the next application using the packages lid open and close method.
 • Easy to apply with a glass wipers.
 • Never apply with a brush!

PREPARATION AND MIXTURE FOR WALL SURFACE

Due to continuous water contact and rainwater, no lime or chlorine water stains occur.
